In Gerar's land, where Isaac dwelt,

By God's command, his faith was felt.

He made his home 'twixt Kadesh, Shur,

Where Abraham once journeyed sure.

The cities burned, no travelers seen,

From Sodom's fate, so harsh, so keen.

Lot's infamy spread far and wide,

In Gerar's bounds, they both reside.

Isaac feared the men might take,

His Rebekah, for beauty's sake.

"She is my sister," he declared,

To save his life, as he was scared.

The truth was twisted, lies were told,

For safety's sake, not for gold.

Abimelech, the king of land,

Saw through the ruse that Isaac planned.

Yet in their hearts, deceit took root,

From devil's lies to bitter fruit.

But fear not those who harm the flesh,

For God alone our souls can mesh.

He judges true, our inner core,

And guides us through to heaven's door.

So settle down in faith and peace,

In Gerar's land, let worries cease.
